How to play?
The aim of this game is very simple: throw your bowl such that it lands as close as possible to the jack - the small yellow ball thrown first. To keep things easy, the rules applicable to the game of petanque have been simplified here. You are playing against a virtual opponent and you are first to throw in each round.
When it is your turn to throw, simply point your cursor to where you would like your bowl to land, and click. But remember, your bowl won't drop right where you clicked - you'll have to perfect your throwing technique !
Whose turn it is ?
Once each of the players has thrown their first bowl, that player whose bowl is furthest away from the jack throws again until one of their bowls is closest to the jack or they have no bowls left to throw. You will see the message "It's your turn to play" on your screen when it is your turn to bowl.
How to win ?
Where several of any one player's bowls are closest to the jack, these count for one point each.
But don't worry, the game will automatically measure the distances and count up the points.
First one to 13 points is the winner.
