A roman aqueduct alongside the museum was restored in 1988. This well-cared-for construction dates from the beginning of our period. It is part of a waterway emptying into a reservoir feeding another aqueduct leading to Arles and Barbegal.

The village of Paradou

Daudet, Mistral, and Pagnol himself, were astounded to find themselves as real as life in this adorable old village.

Some 8,000 hours of work were necessary to achieve the incredible authenticity of the 32 old buildings (50,000 clay tiles, hand-made one by one) of this Provencal mini-village where more than 400 santons are depicted in captivating and picturesque scenes of laughter and emotion, of daily life from a period when people took the time to live.
